David has Bathsheba´s husband killed on the battle field so that he can marry her. After he marriage celebration, however, the Prophet Nathan warns that God is aware of his grievous sin and that death and destruction will befall his house. David and Bathsheba´s first son dies. Amnon, David´s oldest son from his first marriage, rapes his half sister Tamar. David´s favorite son Absalom, Tamar´s brother, has Amnon murdered, and David is forced to exile him.
