Synopsis
Philip Kaufmans brilliant film explores the erotic life of two individuals who became 20th Century literary giants.
Upon meeting unconventional American author Henry Miller (Fred Ward) in Paris, 1931, a young writer named Anais Nin (Maria de Medeiros) boldly embarks on a passionate voyage of self-discovery, and faithfully records every experience in her diary.
In their defiant search for new truths, Anais and Henry are tantalized by Henrys enigmatic and hauntingly sensual wife, June (Uma Thurman).
Beautifully photographed, Henry & June is an unforgettable journey into the uncharted territory of human relationships, based on the long-suppressed sections of Anais Nins diaries. Philip Wuntch, Dallas Morning News calls the film "brilliant and intoxicating. It is a film to see more than once and remember for a very long time."
